Amoro

For the last 40 years, noted jewellery visionary Stephen Crane has had the good fortune to live and work in the Caribbean trading in fine jewellery. The Caribbean and fine jewellery being two of his great passions.

The islands of the Caribbean are some of the most beautiful places on earth and a terrific place to be a jeweller. Year round warm weather, golden sands and crystal clear waters make the area a vacation paradise.

Mr. Crane opened his first jewellery store, Colombian Emeralds International in Freeport Grand Bahamas and over the years expanded from one island to the next until and the business grew happily. So did our competition and it became increasingly more important for us to stand out from the crowd and to offer something more.

Amoro was born - the experience, the joy, the celebration of an event all culminated in the decision to focus entirely on a truly unique way to celebrate memorable moments. After so many years we finally ‘got it’, we were more than an ‘island jeweller’. We wanted to provide precious memories that will endure for a lifetime. We were to create every item of our jewellery to be a romantic celebration of the beauty of our craft and be worthy of the Amoro name. Amoro being the bond from the Latin words for love and gold.

Everyone agrees they want their special jewellery to be of “fine quality “, but what does that mean? We captured it to mean “the combination of excellence in materials, expertly crafted into a design of enduring beauty.”

Celebrating life’s special moments requires commitment; we only commission designs from fine designers and craftsmen who offered the very finest work for the money, and always fairly price our treasures to represent the best value for the quality offered. We captured that with “Attributes found in the world most famous jewellery brands but at a pleasingly affordable price.”

There’s an extra appreciation and value in our personal jewellery. Thoughtful and beautiful tracings and designs grace the inside or back of each finely crafted piece so that it’s beautiful from every angle. Tiny heart shaped prongs that securely hold stones and an extra diamond “kiss” set into the side of many Amoro rings. These special design features that are sometimes only known to the wearer, we define as “Personal pleasures”.

This wonderful new collection of Amoro fine jewellery was born from many years of collective knowledge and experience. Years of celebrating life and love in the islands and a hope when you next wish to celebrate a special moment in your life you will choose to celebrate with Amoro.

Courvoisier

Legendary Courvoisier cognac has been thrilling cognac lovers for centuries, prized around the world for its layers of richness and intensely pleasurable taste. In the southwestern region of France, two cognac enthusiasts created Courvoisier in the early 19th century. It soon developed a hearty following; even the royal courts of England, Denmark and Sweden clamored for it. And Napoleon loved it so much that he demanded several hundred bottles accompany him into exile (which is why every bottle proudly proclaims, “Le Cognac de Napoleon”).

France is renowned for its excellent wine-producing grapes, which is where Courvoisier begins. This cognac is made from only one grape, and the superb taste has been maintained throughout the years because the same farms have supplied those grapes for generations. Courvoisier produces seven marques or varieties of cognac, each with its own personality—from the Courvoisier VS, which is aged up to seven years, to the Courvoisier Initiale Extra and the Esprit de Courvoisier, which are aged up to 100 years. A taste of Courvoisier will yield notes of spice, vanilla, fruit, floral, cocoa, amber and truffle, depending on which marque you choose to indulge in.

Ferragamo

Company founder Salvatore Ferragamo made his way from Italy—where he had opened his first shoe shop at age 13—to the United States at age 14. In his early 20s, he moved to California and began creating shoes for the Hollywood elite using his superior, traditional craftsmanship. Ferragamo’s skills so impressed the Hollywood crowd that he earned the title “Shoemaker to the Stars” during the 1920s. Famous clients such as Douglas Fairbanks and Gloria Swanson were the most vocal about the company’s exceptional shoes, but Ferragamo was also a hit with non-famous, though still upscale clients.

Not much has changed 80 years later. Today, the Florence-based Ferragamo company continues to thrill discriminating clients throughout the world with high-quality footwear, clothing, accessories and leather goods. Some of Ferragamo’s most popular items include bags in coral and iris calfskin, magnolia goatskin, and light brown ostrich; matching accessories such as a French wallet in magnolia calfskin, a continental wallet in iris calfskin and a belt in magnolia calfskin; and footwear including an iris patent sandal, a coral suede sandal with an 8.5 cm heel and an open-toed black patent shoe with an 11 cm heel.
